Our Managing Director, Mr A.P. Selva
Mr A.P. Selva is our founding Managing Director, and still currently serves in this capacity. With an abundance of both knowledge and experience from decades being in the industry, Mr A.P. Selva is a firm guidepost for the company. From our officers deployed to sites, to the staff who work with him at HQ, Mr A.P. Selva is known for his warm demeanour and the generosity of his wisdom, while also maintaining strict discipline and professionalism in our ranks.
Prior to founding the company, Mr A.P. Selva served for many years as a uniformed Senior Officer in the Singapore Armed Forces Military Police. His years of service formed the foundation of both his expertise, as well as his professional outlook on providing security for our clientele. His meritorious service earned him the titular SAFRA Meritorious Award from Minister of State for Defence Mr David Lim Tik Lin. After leaving the SAF, Mr A.P. Selva joined Wormald Security, working his way up over several years from a patrol officer, before eventually forming Aero Asia Security.
Nowadays, while also managing the company, Mr A.P. Selva can usually be found actively interacting with officers deployed on all our sites. We are lucky to take on after him in placing the wellbeing of our staff foremost in all our dealings.
Our Leaders
Chief Operations Officer, Mr Selvakumar
We welcomed Mr Selvakumar, our Chief Operating Officer, in 2010, to help propel us into the next bounds of growth. A Certified Security Professional (CSP), and also a Chief Security Officer (CSO) under the PWM framework, Mr Selvakumar is best placed to oversee and run all strategic operations matters for the Company. Under his leadership, we have been able to provide longer lasting solutions to our clients, offering ways to increase security productivity while also cutting down on unnecessary security costs.
At the same time, Mr Selvakumar also continued in the company culture of keeping our officers foremost in our dealings, working to ensure that they are always well treated and compensated for hard work. For his efforts and considerable service to the community, Mr Selvakumar was awarded a PBM by President Halimah Yacob in 2020, and a Medal of Commendation from the National Trades Union Congress (NTUC) in the 2021 May Day Awards.
Lead Manager, Business Development, Mr Ng Tiong Hian
Mr Ng joined us as a security officer in 2010, where his duties were to oversee the security of his deployed site. Over time, Mr Ng gained additional responsibilities as he grew into his role and expanded his expertise. Joining the operations team, Mr Ng served as Operations Executive and helped to ensure the operational readiness and excellence of all our sites, along with the rest of the team. He also joined the Executive Committee of the Union of Security Employees, where he advocates for better working conditions for security officers all across the country. For his contributions to the labour movement, Mr Ng was awarded Comrade of Labour in the 2022 May Day awards held by NTUC.
Currently, Mr Ng serves as Lead Manager, Business Development, where he helps chart the way forward for the company, identifying key areas of growth and opportunities for the future.
